doesnt work

tried to connect ipad to two different windows machines. vista ultimate and windows 7. could not connect via wifi or ad hoc networks. it apparently connects and then says it cant find server. faq help is neglible and seems completely geared to iphone and ipod touch. Waste of time and money

Not that good

The response is very slow, and it is not real time just a new picture every time you press next slide

Think again - I want my money back!

A complete waste of $4.00 - the download needed is clunky and doesnt always work.

Slide show

love using this app in class - can see PP on my iPad while walking around room. Really great to see my notes at the same time in iPad - developer is incredibly responsive. Do not hesitate to try it. The small app needed on the computer installs quickly and connects iPad to computer quickly.

It works!

App does exactly what the description states. This is a must buy if you give presentations.

Not able to access

Wasnt able to access it right after I downloaded it... It took my money but didnt work properly....

Really nice app, worth the money.

This is a really nice app. I am trying to use an eee PC for my powerpoint presentation, and it doesnt support extended display, so I cannot use the presenters view on it. This app does allow a really nice presenters view, and you can really control the slide presentation from the iPad. Really cool. After installing the server and bonjour in the windows computer, it worked like a charm, and does all it promises, no communications problem whatsoever (so far, at least). Now, why did I not give it 5 stars? 1. The Windows side server needs apples Bonjour for Windows, but doesnt come bundled with it nor does it auto-download it. You have to download it yourself. Not a biggie, but annoying. 2. Doesnt recognize "hidden slides". Sometimes I "hide" some slides in the presentation, and these should not appear in the "next slide" screen, but they do. This can be confusing if you are looking at the "next slide" frame to know what to expect. 3. No way to click something in the slide. For instance, if you have a movie embedded, you need to move the mouse using the computer to click on it, theres no way to activate it from the app. It would make the app even nicer. 4. Pointer/annotation tool. It would be nice to have some way to point at the screen and add real time notes. A "pen" would be wonderful. A future upgrade maybe? (Lets hope...)

Couldnt get it to work.

I guess some folks got this to work. I wasnt one of them. The program that you need to install on the PC wasnt ever able to find my iPhone. I tried for an hour or so, then gave up.

Slow

If you use any presentations with graphics or charts, be prepared to be frustrated. Force quits and loses connection when I use slides with graphs and charts. Not very useful for someone looking to actually present.

Great New Features.....!

I cant believe how great the new features are in this app. You can actually completely control PowerPoint from your iPad or iPhone. 1. From your ipad you can open and start new presentation on the fly. It will open PowerPoint and puts it on your screen. 2. You can run several presentations, going back and forth at the same time. All from you iPad. You dont have to physically go to the computer. 3. From your iPad a list drops down that you can choose what presentation you want to watch. 4. You can choose to download the entire presentation (in a very simple format) right into the app so that you can show the presentation without the computer. 5. You can print the current slide. Thank you so much, I use this app every week teaching lessons to the youth at church. Its fun and easy. .......Steve..... Wow! I am so happy that I finally found a remote for PowerPoint that actually works without any problems like the other apps for PowerPoint have. Its just so easy. You click through your presentation, you see the screen on your iPhone and all of your notes. And the best part is, is that it doesnt freeze up or start moving so slow that you want to change the slides manually. Thank you for a good solid program. Steve......... Wish list for next update : View next slide Option to make note fonts larger

DONOT BUY

The program will not connect to my laptop. I have sent many emails for help so far they have answered NONE of them. Dont waste your money.

This works amazing!!

Using a pc, downloaded the server app needed to run. Found a conflict in port with skype, so changed the port and it works! It works! This may be one of the most useful tools Ive seen so far. Wish I had this during my sales meetings 2 weeks ago. All I can say is amazing! Anyone in sales must have this. You can see everything on your screen, including the presenter notes, next slide, and current slide. Wow!

Terrible

Does not work. Period. It should not be this difficult to set up in "automatic" mode.

Not Impressed!

I tried a couple of other apps to use my iPad to progress the slides at church (but none were designed for the iPad except this one). The app works to progress the slides, but it doesnt show on the iPad what is on the screen. Instead you have to refresh the slide on the iPad to see what is on the screen. I suggest MyPoint for the iPhone and it is free. I wish i could get my money back for this app (unless they fix the problem in a future update in which case this app will be far more pleasant to use).

Must have app for business, school, and church!

This is a must have app if you give PowerPoint presentations anywhere. I have used this multiple times to preach/teach at church and it works very well. I especially love the notes section. This app replaces paper notes, a clicker, and having to turn around and talk at the screen instead of your audience. The display is highly configurable, you can find a layout that feels comfortable in the hand and allows you to see everything you need to. I see some other folks have had connectivity issues, I can attest that its not the app because I have used it multiple times on different wireless networks and I havent had any trouble. They probably had a firewall on their pc or didnt have bonjour configured correctly. I have used other apps that have similar purposes, but I keep coming back to this one because of the notes ability. The developer says some exciting new features coming down the pipe soon, but I think its great the way it is today! Thanks for making my iPad more useful in business! I have loaned the CEO of my company my iPad to do a presentation to our company and he loved it, after that the head of HR wanted to use it, finally we ordered iPads for the CEO, directly as a result of using mine for the presentation, so props for making a great impression on my CEO and scoring me a bunch of brownie points! :)

Just what I was looking for.

Worked great as long as I followed instructions! As an instructor, this application was exactly what I was looking for. I read the reviews, good and bad, hoping it would work for me. I teach computers and networking. So, I figured I could work around any technical problems. I installed it on an XP system there were no technical problems. It controlled my presentation as advertised. I installed it on a Windows 7 system there were no technical problems. It controlled my presentation as advertised. The next day it did not appear to be working. However, it was. I made a wrong assumption. I thought it wasnt working because after my iPad connected, the Logic Server Devices List still said "Waiting for New Devices" I was expecting it to show my iPad name as connected. Here are some pointers based on my experience. * Start your PowerPoint * Follow their instructions for setup on your iPad and computers. * Remember, even if the Logic Server Devices List still says "Waiting for New Devices" you may very well be connected. * Make sure the Logic Server is set to the correct monitor * Click on the screen displaying the presentation. If you do not, the iPad will not control the presentation. * Select your presentation from the Open Menu on your iPad.

Caution

It worked great when I set it up and practiced my presentation, but when I went to do my presentation at a conference it would not work no matter what I did. I shut both the computer and the iPad and the computer down and retried. Still did not work. It worked great when it worked, but it does not work all the time. If the application is updated where it works consistently it would be a 5 star application.

Amazing app

If you use PowerPoint and give presentations you need this app. I am amazed at how well this application works.

No good for Mac Users.

It is not totally clear that you cannot use Slideshow Remote if you are an Apple computer user. This program is for Powerpoint used on a Windows platform only! This really stinks! Spent the money, and found out afterwards that they do not support Apple computers.

App Doesnt Work For Mac

Um, hi, iPhone is an Apple product, therefore you need to make your app Mac compatible or you need to rename your product "for Windows Only". There are plenty of other non-Mac app venues for hocking PC-only apps. I feel duped and cheated for not having read the fine print and giving you $4.99 for something I cant use. This boarders on being a baitnswitch/fraud. Shame on you!
